The Founders of YourPoolProducts.com have been working with and installing swimming pool heaters for more than 20 years in Florida. With the swimming pool heating solutions available today, there is no reason you shouldn't be enjoying the investment of your swimming pool ALL YEAR around. Don't think of your pool as just a summer recreation any longer! Your swimming pool is about more than just fun in the summer. From entertaining to exercise to therapy, your pool can be a significant part of your lifestyle.

When it comes to choosing the right pool heater, you really need to take a look at your life style and how you wish to use your heater before deciding what type of heating method is best for you.  For example, if you are heating a spa only you might consider gas.  Gas heat is fast and affordable for a spa.  If gas is not practical for you for one reason or another a small electric heater may be just what you need for the spa such as a Hawyard Comfort Zone or Raypak 11k heater.

When heating the pool gas is still the fastest way to get the heat but in most cases is not as efficient as Heat Pumps. If you just pop in to a vacation home for a weekend or a week, the efficiency may not be your number one concern. In this case speed may be your main concern. In the event you keep your pool heated for extended periods, you will likely find it isn't so much about speed but more about efficiency.

When it comes to efficiency, here at YourPoolProducts we favor Heat Pumps. You may have heard of some of the top brands we carry such as AquaCal, Jandy (Air Energy), AquaTherm, Hayward, Rheem and more.  Using a Heat Pump can be very affordable. You will find that the initial cost of a Swimming Pool Heat Pump, Gas Pool Heater or Solar Pool Heat is very comparable to one another. Gas pool heaters tend to cost a bit less than a heat pumps ONLY if you already have the gas tank/supply in place, however, you can anticipate a longer life span with a heat pump.

Solar is certainly a great system to have in place but keep in mind even the solar experts (if they are being honest), will tell you it is not expected to keep your pool in use year around. Solar will defiantly extend your swimming season and you can count on Solar heating to give you a few degree head start so using a heat pump or gas heater with solar is really a great idea if it is in the budget to do so.

Another ideal set up is to install a heat pump for the pool and gas heater for the spa even with solar if you wish. The gas heater heats the spa FAST and is affordable as it is a small amount of water and the heat pump takes care of the pool efficiently.
